Rainbow Municipal Water District directors are elected officials representing each of five divisions and are selected by voters in the November general election in even-numbered years.
Divisions 1, 2, and 5 will be up for election during the General Election on November 3, 2020. Individuals interested in serving on the Board of Directors are invited to file the required candidate documents with the Registrar of Voters between July 13 and August 7, 2002.
The Registrar of Voters is providing in-person services by appointment only. They also strongly encourage you to request your filing of candidacy paperwork to be emailed or mailed to you.

Candidate File Guides will be available for pick up at the District offices and the County of San Diego Registrar of Voters starting July 13, 2020 and must be filed (returned) ONLY in the office of the Registrar of Voters. The last day to file nomination papers in the office is August 7, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. If an incumbent does not file by August 7, 2020, the filing period will be extended until August 12, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. for other than incumbents.
