Town Hall Meeting - Monday, May 2, 2022

FPUD and RMWD continue to address the rising cost of water and the diminishing agricultural use in our local region. One of the ways we can mitigate costs is to change wholesalers. Currently, we purchase 100 percent of our water from SDCWA. If we move to Eastern Municipal Water District as our wholesaler we could potentially save $7 to $10 million collectively. This action requires approval by the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) and then would go to an election of FPUD and Rainbow MWD voters
