Compensation Report

At the Rainbow Municipal Water District, elected board members are eligible to receive $150 per meeting, with a maximum of two meetings per month. In addition, directors may receive mileage reimbursement at the rate specified in the Internal Revenue Service Rates. Board members do not receive any district-paid benefits and do not participate in the district’s retirement plan.

Remuneration and Reimbursement Policy

2.03.010.1 State Law limits Board member compensation to ten (10) compensable meetings per month (Water Code Section 20202). The RMWD Board shall not be eligible for compensation for more than six (6) compensable days per month.

Financial Reserves Policy

The purpose of the RMWD Reserve Policy is to ensure that the District will, at all times, have sufficient funding available to meet the operating, capital and debt service cost obligations. SB272 Compliance Information

Senate Bill 272 was chaptered into law on October 11, 2015 amending the California Public Records Act. Section 6270.5 was added to the Government Code and mandates that all Local Agencies publish a Catalog of Enterprise Systems by July 1, 2016 and update it annually. Water Code §71000 et seq. empowers districts to develop and sell water; promote water use efficiency; operate public recreational facilities; provide fire protection; collect and dispose trash, garbage, sewage, storm water and waste; and generate, sell and deliver hydroelectric power.
