New year, new improvements! The Rainbow Municipal Water District has started 2019 with several Capital Improvement Projects that are already underway. The projects are ranging from water service upgrades to pressure reducing stations, pipe relocations, and much more, which will ultimately result in more efficient and maintained water services for residents.
Currently, the Design of the Pipe Relocation Project is in process, construction will follow tentatively fall 2019. Some residents may have already received notifications via mail for surveying activities ongoing in the area. (see map below). Due to extremely challenging access of some areas of pipe in existing easements, it is necessary to relocate these sections of pipe into more accessible areas. This will help with maintenance and response time to address any issues in the District’s ongoing effort to keep costs down, by increasing efficiency of the system. In addition, high-pressure areas will be addressed by changing pressure zones of some areas.
