Rainbow Municipal Water District’s (RMWD) Wastewater and Valve Maintenance staff performed Confined Space Rescue training with North County Fire Department (NCF). NCF and RMWD participants reviewed Rainbow’s confined space trailer, gas monitors, department tools and specialized equipment. Firefighters and RMWD staff practiced with rescue ropes and entered a confined space at Lake Rancho Viejo for collaborating on mutual aid assistance.
A confined space has limited or restricted means for entry or exit and is not designed for continuous occupancy. Confined spaces entry for RMWD staff include assets such tanks, vaults, manholes, and pipelines.
